While we're told countless miracles took place in the ministry of Jesus throughout the Bible, John wants us to know specifically about 7 of them. We've studied the water being changed into wine, the healing of the Officials son and now the healing of the invalid at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15) tomorrow morning. This sign results in an unexpected response that teaches us heavy concepts on grace and sin. Besser, an 18th century german theologian commented on this scripture saying:
"It is a dreadful thing, when the correction and mercy of Divine love wearies itself with a man in vain. You that are sick, write over your beds, when you rise up from them in renewed health, - 'Behold thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee'"
Come worship with us tomorrow at 9:45am!
