Well, the public gatherings and children's ministry of The Journey Church have launched and we couldn't be more excited!  The last two weeks have surpassed any and all of our expectations.  We are beyond thankful that God has gifted us this opportunity and we want to be good stewards of it.

With that said, we are now working on the next phase of outreach and discipleship.  During the remainder of September and beginning of October we are launching several Journey Groups.  Our first Journey group (college guys) launched 2 weeks ago, we have another group (for college girls on Marietta College's campus) launching tomorrow, and 2 more groups (for families) launching in 2 weeks.

What will we be studying?

We are using an incredible resource called The Gospel Project for adults.  The Gospel Project provides biblical theology within a systematic framework.  This is accomplished over the course of three years though frequent retellings of the overarching gospel narrative of Scripture.  When we see how all the Scriptures point to Jesus, we allow the gospel to work on us, move through us, and ultimately, transform us.  We become God’s gospel project.

FOUR COMPONENTS

• Bible Overview
• Systematic Theology
• Gospel Grid
• Biblical Theology

The goal is to marry systematic and biblical theology so that participants continually journey through the basics of the gospel and the outline of the Scripture’s grand narrative.

This coming Sunday we'll have more information in regards to Journey Group launchings and which groups are located near you.  This will be an amazing opportunity for families to grow together, disciple well, and share the Gospel in the MOV.  I want to strongly encourage you to find a group and get to work for the sake of the good news!
