"What did Jesus teach about Himself" Part 2

Last week we found ourselves studying Christ's defense and explanation of who he is and more specifically his relationship to the Father.  It's one thing to know the average Joe's opinion of who Jesus was, but what could possibly be more important than Christ's description of himself?  This Easter Sunday we will conclude Jesus' defense in John 5:30-47 and examine just what kind of light and significance this sheds on the resurrection.

"Let the enemies of the Bible take our Lord's last and greatest miracle - His own resurrection from the dead - and disprove it if they can.  When they have done that, it will be time to consider what they say about miracles in general.  They have never answered the evidence of it yet, and they never will.  Let the friends of the Bible not be moved by objections against miracles, until that one miracle has been fairly disposed of.  If that is proved assailable, they need not care much for quibbling arguments against other miracles.  If Christ did really raise from the dead by His own power, there is none of His mighty works which man need hesitate to believe." - J.C. Ryle

Johnquicklinkpng.PNGI'm beyond excited to continue into John's gospel this coming Easter morning.  Join us in prayer that the Giver of Life would do a wondrous work in the mid-Ohio valley in the hearts of men that He would be made famous here!  May God receive glory in all that we do at The Journey!
